Everything we do at our office in Edmond, Oklahoma, is done with the best intentions. No service or “next step” in your oral health journey is left unconsidered. Due to our exacting planning and close, relationship-based approaches, you can trust that the results from your veneer treatment will look natural and serve you and your smile well for years. Led by Dr. Taylor Barton, our team is happy to acquaint you with how we support such exceptional results and a great experience.
Veneers are secured to the front surfaces of those visible teeth in your smile. Since these front teeth are hard to miss, you demand and deserve to have only the most natural-looking and attractive result. We help promote the most cosmetic results with our use of durable materials designed to “mimic” the appearance, strength, and function of natural tooth enamel. Additionally, Dr. Barton works with patients to select the best shades for their new and improved tooth structure. These and other characteristics must complement patients’ features and align with their goals. That way, the results from treatment can bring out your unique and natural beauty. Your veneers won’t look too big, protrude too much, or appear “fake” or “plastic” with this blend of technical skills, preparation, and quality materials.Â
“Conservative” in dentistry refers to those treatments and techniques that preserve the utmost natural tooth structure and other tissues. This approach is preferred because it helps to support treatments that restore or sustain the most natural feel in the mouth, appearance, and function. Also, this approach is generally better tolerated. In the case of veneers, Dr. Barton may place, shape, and secure resin directly to the teeth. With this treatment option, Nno drilling or removal of natural enamel is required! Since the tooth is not reduced and remains intact, “installing” veneers is generally comfortable and not associated with sensitivity. So, we don’t need to administer anesthetic for comfort. We can also transform your chipped, cracked, gapped, stained, worn, and otherwise “imperfect” teeth in just one visit with direct resin veneers.
When in the capable hands of Dr. Barton, your veneers should last for many years. We ensure that your veneers perfectly match your features and are secured precisely, and we also work with our patients to keep them in top shape. Our Edmond, Oklahoma, team gets you into a healthy schedule of regular checkups. During these visits, Dr. Barton will assess the condition of your veneers. We can also go over ways to prevent future damage, such as new chips or stains. These steps include suggestions on nutrition, refraining from any damaging habits (like chewing your fingernails), and customizing a nightguard or oral splint for those patients who chronically grind their teeth. These appliances protect dental work and natural teeth from damage, cushioning the blow or force generated by habitual teeth grinding and jaw clenching behaviors.Â
